Here at Induction Innovations, we go the extra mile to let our customers know that our products are of the highest quality in parts and assembly. We do that in a couple of ways.
As you may know, our products are made right here in Elgin, IL. Machines start the assembly process while being monitored by our staff and then other larger pieces are done by hand. Most importantly, we take every precaution to make sure each tool works perfectly before sending them out to customers.
See this blog for more info on our production process and sourcing of materials.
Safety Declaration of Conformity
Another way we ensure quality is by getting our products safety-certified meaning they go through testing to earn a “Safety Declaration of Conformity.” We are not required to get safety certifications for our products, but we choose to do so as an added security measure.
Our products that have received the Safety Declaration of Conformity are the following:
- Mini-Ductor II (MD-700)
- Mini-Ductor II CE (MD-700CE)
- Mini-Ductor Venom (MDV-777)
- Mini-Ductor Venom CE (MDV-888)
Here is an example of a declaration of safety for the Mini-Ductor Venom:
“This product has been tested and evaluated to the requirements of:
IEC 60335-1 2010 (Fifth Edition) incl. Corr. 1:2010 and Corr. 2:2011 + A1:2013.
Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 1: General requirements.
Compliant results may be found in safety report number “GSS-16-1104a – 110V Venom”.”
Independent Testing
To qualify for these safety certifications, our products must go through thorough a series of tests. In this case, testing was performed by an independent lab, Global Safety Solutions, Inc. This is done to prove the general safety of each unit and that the products are compliant with industry standards.
Here is a summary of the tests performed:
- Protection against access to live parts
- Power input and current
- Heating test
- Leakage current and electric strength at operating temperature
- Humidity test
- Leakage current and electric strength
- Abnormal operation
- Mechanical strength
- Residual voltage test
- Line cord push/pull test
- Resistance to heat and fire
- Ball pressure test
These tests go through all the components of the tools and certify that they are safe, OEM, and compliant.
ISO Certified Facility
All our products are built in an ISO9001:2015 facility for quality assurance. To do this, we filled out certain forms, got different certifications and our facility must be inspected every year to maintain this status.
Quality Components
When President Tom Gough brought on Circuits By US, he did that to gain that quality control over our circuit boards. This ensured that we oversaw each step of the production process from beginning to end.
Each unit is built with certified components, which are genuine OEM. We do not use aftermarket or counterfeit parts and these certifications are integral in proving the quality of our products.
